FC IT SolutionsPrivacy policy
How FC IT Solutions collects, uses and protects personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Last updated: 15 October 2026.
1. Who we are
FC IT Solutions (Pty) Ltd (registration no. 2017/040162/07), referred to as "FC IT Solutions", "we" or "us", is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website and in the course of our services.
Registered address: Unit 51, Block E, Wapadrand Office Park, 90 Kingbolt Crescent, Wapadrand, Pretoria, 0081.
Information Officer: Jacques Badenhorst, support@fcitsolutions.co.za, 076 574 3611.
2. What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, company, email address, phone number and the message you send.
- When you use the free domain check: the domain you type in. The check reads public DNS records only. We store nothing unless you ask for the report, in which case we receive your name, company, email, phone number, the domain and its result.
- When we look after your IT: contact details of your staff, information about your devices and network, and data that our monitoring, security and backup tools process on your behalf.
- When you visit the site: basic usage information through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed and the type of device used.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or send you the report you asked for.
- To provide, support and invoice the services you contract us for.
- To keep your systems secure and meet our obligations to you.
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
We process personal information with your consent, to perform a contract with you, to meet a legal obligation, or where it serves a legitimate interest that does not override your rights. We do not sell personal information, and we only send marketing to people who have agreed to receive it.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us deliver our services and who are bound to protect it, such as Microsoft (Microsoft 365), N-able (monitoring and security), our backup provider, our website host and Google (analytics). We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we make sure the provider is subject to laws or binding agreements that give protection similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.
5. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including multi-factor authentication, encryption, access controls and monitoring. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records). Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months.
7. Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email support@fcitsolutions.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).
8. Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies, mainly for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
